KATEDRA  was established as far back as 1988, for carrying out Luigi Perali M.D. studies on ergonomics of the seats and realisation the anti-bedsores water cushions and “Confortaid” for the bed and wheelchairs as well as the inflatable low back support “Air-Back”.

 KATEDRA designs chairs according exclusively to the ergonomic principles reported in the paper "Ergonomics of the Chair" published first in "Promosedia" (Dec. 98),. 
According to those innovative ergonomic principles, prototypes of the chairs Confortella, Supernova and Eura have been made. 

KATEDRA also cooperates on marketing of the inflatable low back support “Air-Back” and the water cushions Confortaid (for the bed and wheelchairs).
